SOC3408 — Food, Water, and Justice

The overarching goal of the course is to apply a justice-based lens to issues of water and food sovereignty. Students will use political and environmental sociological theory to engage with issues of justice and common resources in a variety of case studies. Students will leave the course with strong analytical skills and a critical understanding of the global political forces that shape our environmental problems and inequalities, particularly those related to food and water. prereq: 1101 or Anth 1111
