The anthropology curriculum provides a comparative understanding of the range of human cultures throughout the world in both humanistic and social scientific terms. Anthropology provides the skills and knowledge needed to navigate a diverse world and solve the complex problems that face today's communities. Objectives: Anthropology courses provide an understanding of human beings and human society. Students are exposed to a broad historical and comparative framework within which to view the variety of human cultures. Coursework deals with concepts techniques and substantive knowledge of the branches of the field: anthropology, primarily within cultural anthropology and applied anthropology.
