Introductory biology course with lab for health sciences majors. Emphasis on scientific literacy, mastery of core biological concepts, the relationship of biology to health sciences and other major disciplines, lifelong learning and citizenship. Taught utilizing student-centered, active learning, and writing-integrated approaches.
