CHEM4131 — Organic Synthesis
This course provides an overview of the chemical transformations of organic molecules, along with the underlying mechanistic basis. Content from prior organic chemistry courses are reviewed and expanded upon, exploring new modes of reactivity with carbon-carbon bonds, and considering their application in synthesis. The course primarily focuses on functional group interconversion, synthetic design and retrosynthetic analysis, and stereochemical control. prereq: C- or better in 2131
