MUSC 1155 — Class Piano 1
is the first of a two-course sequence in basic keyboard and literacy skills that introduces non-pianists to practical musicianship at the piano keyboard. In level 1 students reinforce their knowledge of intermediate rudiments, play repertoire from different music styles, and learn the fundamentals of improvising over simple harmonic progressions, such as cadential progressions, blues and other popular music harmonic idioms.
