EDUC 101 — Introduction to Teaching
as a career and education as a social institution. Crucial issues facing schools in American democratic society are considered, especially K-12 goals, curriculum, and methods. Opportunities, challenges, and requirements of the profession are presented. This course is not designed to be a course in professional education. A minimum 30 hours of observation/participation in public schools grades K-8 by arrangement with the instructor.
