KIND 182 — Beginning Classical Musical Theatre Danc
Technique and style of beginning Classical theatre dance (1943 - 1965) will be explored. This course is an in-depth performance experience focusing on styles of body movement for Classical Musical Theatre stage productions. The fundamentals of Broadway style dance will be reviewed, including basic Classical jazz and tap. Classical Musical theatre dance genres will be introduced by category, including more sophisticated character stylization of Classical musical staging.
