152-151 — UX/UI Development

2 credits · 2 hours

This course immerses learners in the process of user-centric web development, emphasizing the creation of intuitive user interfaces (UI) and thoughtful user experiences (UX). A heuristic approach guides the design and development of web applications—from research and persona creation to low-fidelity wireframing, prototyping and usability testing. Throughout this process, students will iteratively refine their work, developing high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes with a focus on usability and accessibility. Learners will continuously evaluate interfaces using UX laws and usability heuristics allowing them to make informed design decisions.
