ART131 — Internship in Art and Design
3 Credits Internships are designed to promote career awareness through work experience in the specific field. Students integrate classroom theory with a monitored and supervised work experience. Periodic meetings with faculty advisor and maintenance of a portfolio and/or journal are required. 120 work hours required. Notes: Prior to Fall 2023, this course was titled ART 131 - Cooperative Education in Visual Arts Design 1. Note: Criteria for department approval: GPA of 2.5 or higher; 9 earned credits in curriculum-required courses, ENG 101 - Writing and Research or equivalent for a total of 12 credits; and enrolled in the AS in Art and Design. Prerequisites: Department Consent Required
