BIOL251 — Environmental Internship 1

1 Credits This internship course provides students the opportunity to apply the concepts and knowledge from the classroom- and lab-based courses to a supervised workplace in an environmental field where students will gain career awareness and practical, hands-on experience. Students independently identify and secure an internship placement that must be approved by the Program Curriculum Chair. Students will keep a daily log of their activities and meet at least three times with a faculty advisor during the internship. Internship site supervisors will be asked for an evaluation of the student at the completion of the internship. Notes: For each semester credit, students are required to complete 40 hours of internship-related activity. Permission of Environmental Science & Studies Curriculum Chair. GPA of 2.5 or higher. BIOL 117 - General Biology 2 - Lecture & Lab , BIOL 144 - Environmental Science - Lab and BIOL 143 - Environmental Science - Lecture OR BIOL 155 - Environmental Studies - Lecture
