3 Credits This course examines the historical, philosophical, social, and cultural influences on early childhood education in the United States and their connections to contemporary practice. Students will develop a philosophy of education and set of values to guide their educational choices. Consideration is given to the role of the teacher, working in a diverse society, partnering with families, and current issues in Education. Prerequisites: None
