ECE274 — Early Childhood Curriculum

3 Credits This course prepares students to plan and implement culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate curriculum for children N-2nd grade. Goals of Anti-Bias teaching are emphasized. Students study how children understand the world and the subject matter disciplines in thoughtfully prepared classroom environments. Focus is placed on documentation to support planning for emergent curriculum and project work. Prerequisites: ECE 270 - Observation and Assessment and ECE 271 Early Childhood Practicum 1 Corequisite: ECE 275 Early Childhood Practicum 3
