EDU103 — Teaching in Today’s Diverse Classroom
3 Credits This course focuses on the role of schools in promoting equity. Students will examine historical and current issues related to race, ethnicity, language, class, gender, sexuality, religion and disability and will consider the way in which these impact children’s school experiences. Classroom practices that promote equity and integrate the cultural experiences of children and families will be explored. Prerequisites: None
