ENG242 — Caribbean Literature

3 Credits In this course, students read novels, poems, essays, short stories, songs, film and drama produced by Caribbean artists living in the Caribbean and in diaspora. We will pay close attention to the ways in which the history and geography of the Caribbean influence its literary past and present. Students read and analyze a variety of literary texts and write critical essays, as well as conduct research.
