FILM103 — The Great Directors
3 Credits Studies movies from the perspective of the director as “auteur” or primary creative force. Works of several directors will be examined in comparison to that of their peers. Discussions will center on the stylistic and thematic characteristics of individual directors, particularly as they relate to issues of race, class and gender.
