3 Credits This course presents a history of the United States from the Spanish-American War to the present; the development and impact of big business; the Progressive Era and World War I; the return to normalcy and the Depression; recovery and the New Deal; World War II and its aftermath; the Cold War, Korea, Civil Rights; the Kennedy Administration. It is designed to provide a background in United States social, economic and diplomatic developments in the 20th century.
