3 Credits A comprehensive course on ICD-10-CM involving an in-depth study of coding diseases for all the major body systems. This course takes a systematic approach to hospital inpatient and ambulatory care coding emphasizing specific and correct coding procedures and techniques. Prerequisites: ENG 101 - Writing and Research and HCTAL 101 - Medical Terminology Pre or Corequisites: HIT 120 - Introduction to Health Information Management (with a grade of C or better if taken as prerequisite)
