LAW103 — Introduction to Legal Studies
3 Credits This course introduces substantive and procedural law to provide basic understanding of sources and structures of the American legal system. Students identify legal and ethical issues in everyday and business situations and explore limitations in obtaining relief and judicial remedies. Areas of study include civil and criminal law and procedure, family law, personal, real, and intellectual property, contracts, Articles 2 and 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, torts, and administrative law. Notes: Prior to Fall 2024, was PRLGL 101 - Introduction to Paralegal Studies Prerequisites: None
