MECH144 — Manual Manufacturing 1
3 Credits This course covers the purpose, setup, and safe use of hand tools and manual machine tools in the basics of metal working. Operation of lathes, drill presses, sawing, milling machines and grinders will be examined. Content will also include theory of cutting tools and selection, use of cutting speeds and feeds, industrial safety, use of bench and layout tools, measuring instruments along with basic drawings. Notes: $50 lab fee Prerequisites: None
