RAD207 — Special Radiographic Imaging

4 Credits This course introduces the student radiographer to special radiographic imaging procedures, equipment and the various types of contrast media. Also, a history of the origin of these studies and their medico-legal implications are discussed. Special imaging studies include: angiography, arthrography, hysterosalpingography, and mammography. Special imaging modalities, catheters, guide wires and other accessories are discussed. Students are expected to engage in individual case studies for class presentation. A written paper is required. Prerequisites: RAD 203 Radiographic Positioning 3 , RAD 241 - Clinical Education 4 and BIOL 123 - Anatomy and Physiology 2 - Lecture & Lab
