ELE101 — Industrial Safety
1 credits This course covers mechanical, chemical, environmental and electrical aspects of safety. The role of OSHA in the workplace is presented. Students will become familiar with forms such as Material Safety Data Sheets and will be trained in the use of (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment and in other safety procedures related to materials handling and storage. Industrial hazards such as fall protection and caught-in/struck-by will be emphasized. Students will receive the OSHA 10 safety training and will have the opportunity to be awarded an OSHA 10 card.
