HIST 004A — is a survey of the development of western culture and civilization from Ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt to
the Age of Discovery. Topics will include (but are not limited to) the Greek and Roman legacy, Late Antiquity and the Byzantine World, the Medieval World, the Italian and Northern Renaissance, and the Protestant Reformation.
