ART 313 - Western Art and Culture ART 313 - Western Art and Culture (3 credits) Meets GOAL 6 (Fine Arts) and GOAL 8. An exploration of Western Art and Culture in a selected country, such as Italy, The United Kingdom, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Germany, or France. This course intends to foster an understanding of the relationship between American and Western European Art and culture, including their histories, their specifics, and their influences upon each other. The visual art of the selected country is emphasized. Unique culture traditions as well as various cross-cultural contexts are examined in this travel study course. Grade only. ummer session.
