BIOL 437 - Clinical MRI II BIOL 437 - Clinical MRI II (13 credits) This course is a continuation of Clinical MRI I to the further develop the understanding of the MR technologist role within the healthcare organization, while also having an opportunity to experience day-to-day operations of an MRI department and perform MR exams. The principles, practices, policies, and computer applications in both the health care organization and MR environment are examined. MR physics concepts will include various pulse sequences, image parameters, protocol optimization and image options used to create MR images. Patient positioning, proper coil selection, slice prescription and sectional anatomy related to the central nervous system and extremities will be defined. In a lab, you will have hands-on experience with scanning MR exams learned in the classroom. Grade only. all semester. Course Registration
