CJS 299 - Diversity & the Justice System CJS 299 - Diversity & the Justice System (3 credits) This course examines many aspects of diversity and how they relate to justice. Goals of the course include promoting anti-racism through analysis of the effects of historic and systemic racism, recognizing the types of biases and prejudice that lead to discrimination, and evaluating the role that diverse groups play in society. Topics covered may include racism, sexism, immigration, anti-LGBTQIA+ narratives, and systemic injustice in the American criminal justice system. Recommended Grade only. each semester as needed.
