EEOL 306 - Assessment in the Elementary Classroom EEOL 306 - Assessment in the Elementary Classroom (1 credit) This course explores effective assessment strategies for educators. Students will learn about various types of assessments and their purposes, and how to identify and reduce bias in both standardized and teacher-created assessments. The course emphasizes the importance of regularly assessing individual and group performance to tailor instruction to students’ cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical needs. Students will also learn to provide effective descriptive feedback and engage students in self-assessment and goal setting. Additionally, the course covers designing and selecting assessments that address specific learning goals and individual differences. Grade only. annually (usually fall semester). Course Registration
