HADM 441 - Healthcare Law and Ethics HADM 441 - Healthcare Law and Ethics (2 credits) Health care is a dynamic multi-national profession governed by increasingly complex laws. While heavily regulated, health care provides many business and entrepreneurial opportunities within a growing industry. Health Care Law is a two credit hour course focusing on legal changes within the health care system. This course will cover tort liability in the medical practice and the value of selecting an appropriate business structure to minimize personal risk; privacy issues based upon advances in technology with a focus on HIPPA, EHRs and PHRs; and patient rights.
