HERS 396 - Cultural Perspectives on Health Education and Promotion HERS 396 - Cultural Perspectives on Health Education and Promotion (3-6 credits) Meets GOAL 8. This course is an interdisciplinary faculty-led study-away program designed to give students the opportunity to experience health promotion in a different culture. The course is particularly useful for students considering careers in global health, U.S. public health, and health education. Course participants will attend preparatory sessions the semester before traveling. During their trip, students will have guided tours of health facilities, explore health promotion programs designed to address local health priorities, and attend seminars or talks from local experts. Students will partake of traditional regional cuisine and cultural excursions. Grade only. as part of travel study program. Repeatable once up to 12 credits. Course Registration
