NURS200 — CNA Elective
NURS 200 - CNA Elective NURS 200 - CNA Elective (3 credits) This course will cover a broad range of topics, ranging from how to bathe a patient, to positioning a patient properly. You will learn about abuse and neglect, how to feed and dress a patient, proper body mechanics for lifting and turning patients. Also, topics such as recognizing depression, dealing with dementia, infection control issues, and catheter care. Classroom time is 59 hours that is lecture and theoretical content. The lab portion is 16 hours. This is where you will be mastering all the skills you were taught during your lecture/theory portion of the course training and preparing for your state licensing examination. Upon completion of this class, the student will be eligible to complete the State Nursing Assistant Registry knowledge and skills exam. Grade only. each semester as needed. Note: $25 course fee.
