NURS 392 - Cardiac Risk Prevention NURS 392 - Cardiac Risk Prevention (3 credits) (Elective) This course serves to assist healthcare professionals in identifying risk factors that can lead to cardiovascular disease. Content will include a review of cardiac function, primary cardiac risk prevention, secondary cardiac risk prevention, and tertiary cardiac risk prevention. The course will examine technologies used in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. The major risk factors will be analyzed regarding populations affected and students will be able to address what strategies/treatments can be applied to modify risks for cardiac disease.
