NURS 465 - Population-Based Health Care II NURS 465 - Population-Based Health Care II (4 credits) (3 credits theory/1 credit practicum) (Baccalaureate RN Completion) This course is designed to build on and promote students’ experiences in population-focused practice in community/public health nursing. Population health issues at the local, national, and global levels will be explored to identify interventions to promote optimal health and well-being. Local, state and national health policies, political and economic influences will be part of the analysis of community issues and activities. An interdisciplinary, collaborative approach is taken in community assessment, decision-making, planning, implementation and evaluation throughout community health nursing practice. Course clinical components focus on assessment and health education/promotion that empower individuals/communities to improve overall health
