PESS 114 - Fundamentals of Adventure Education PESS 114 - Fundamentals of Adventure Education (3 credits) This course is an activity and experiential-based content course focused on the fundamentals of adventure education for P-12 grade students. This course will emphasize: academic language specific to adventure, adventure philosophy, experiential learning, skill development in various adventure activities, holistic benefits of including adventure in a standards-based curriculum, relationship between fitness and adventure activities, inclusive adventure activities as a tool for increased engagement in physical activity, and the use of adventure to support brain-based learning.
