PESS 325 - Planning, Instructing, and Assessing for Learning and Meaningfulness in Elementary Physical Education Part I PESS 325 - Planning, Instructing, and Assessing for Learning and Meaningfulness in Elementary Physical Education Part I (3 credits) This course explores standard-based content for elementary physical education students, including unpacking, bundling, and organizing this content for curriculum, unit design, and assessment. Students will apply knowledge of development and learning to analyze, evaluate, and create developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant, and meaningful learning opportunities for elementary physical education students. In addition, this course will examine factors that nurture community, meaningfulness, and motivation, specifically for elementary students, while evaluating resources based on their appropriateness for elementary physical education. PESS 300 - Motor Learning and Control Majors only. PESS 300 - Motor Learning and Control  should be taken before or concurrently with PESS 325. Grade only. annually (usually spring semester).
