PESS 360 - Techniques of Speed, Power, and Agility Development for Coaches PESS 360 - Techniques of Speed, Power, and Agility Development for Coaches (2 credits) This course will prepare future coaches to effectively teach the skill of sprinting and speed development to athletes of all ages using a research-based, systematic approach. A student who has taken this class will be able to confidently their athletes achieve higher levels of power output, faster max velocity speeds, and demonstrate proper sprinting technique. While learning the process of teaching the skill of sprinting, students in this class will also be improving their personal sprinting abilities through formwork, workouts, and testing and tracking of their own speed development progress. Students will learn how to use technology to assess, monitor, and track speed data, and learn how to use that data to make changes to a speed, power, and agility development plan for themselves or their athletes.
