PHYS332 — Digital Circuits

PHYS 332 - Digital Circuits PHYS 332 - Digital Circuits (3 credits) A lecture/lab course introducing students to digital circuits. Students in the course make use of field programmable gate array (FPGA) hardware to solve design problems related to the course. Topics include: sequential digital logic (states, gates, Karnaugh maps, reduction); applications of sequential logic (Multiplexors, adders, etc); memory (latches, counters, registers); finite state machines; implementation of these ideas via Verilog or VHDL hardware description languages; and deployment of these designs to hardware. Grade or P/NC. alternate years. Course Registration

Prerequisites: PHYS202, PHYS222, CS250
