POLS 419 - Constitutional Politics POLS 419 - Constitutional Politics (3 credits) This course is an advanced look at the political and legal issues that the U.S. Supreme Court deals with in interpreting the U.S. Constitution. The course will focus on both the internal politics of the Court and the Court’s place in the larger political environment as a “separate institution sharing power.” POLS 120 - Introduction to American Politics required, POLS 220 - Civil Rights and Civil Liberties , POLS 227 - Judicial Process & Politics , POLS 320 - Constitutional Law , or POLS 420 - Administrative Law recommended.
