SOCW 385 - Social Work Practice with Groups SOCW 385 - Social Work Practice with Groups (4 credits) This practice class introduces students to group work in social work practice. Students will learn about group types, recruitment, and composition of group members, group facilitation skills, stages of group development, and group processes. Students will learn evidence-based group theories that are consistent with social work values and ethics. The course emphasizes the concepts of anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion in social work group practice. Grade only. each semester on Winona and Rochester campuses.
