STAT 100 - Numbers and Data in Society STAT 100 - Numbers and Data in Society (3 credits) Meets GOAL 4. The purpose of this course is to students develop a better understanding of numbers and data in today’s society. Quantitative and statistical reasoning skills will be developed through a variety of topics for which numbers and data are commonly encountered (e.g., government, politics, medicine, media, advertising, and sports).
