CDC101 — Introduction to Chemical Dependency

This course provides an introduction to human services and addictions, including the types of clients served, the duties of human service personnel, philosophy and dynamics of addictions treatment and an overview of state and community resources. Case studies are used to examine the development, identification, dynamics and recovery of addicts. Attendance at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and a Narcotics Anonymous meeting is a requirement of the course.
