INT115 — Equipment Handling and Rigging
This course prepares students to select, size, assemble, adjust, and use rigging apparatus to lift, move or transport a load. Elements used include hooks and eyebolts; shackles; manual and powered hoists; wire rope, synthetic and chain slings; hitches; and other tools used in the movement of heavy objects. The identification of crane types and the use of crane hand signals is also covered.
