RDT201 — Radiation Protection and Radiobiology

This course provides students with knowledge of the biologic processes that occur as a result of interaction with ionizing radiation. The fundamentals of radiation protection for personnel, patients and the public are discussed, including structural requirements, personnel monitoring, gonadal shielding and other factors that affect the amount of radiation exposure during diagnostic procedures.
