HIT100 — Introduction to Health Information Technology
2 Credit(s) This course provides an introduction to health information management and specifically to the role of the Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) as a member of the health care team. Emphasis is placed on the revenue cycle, health care regulators, health care providers, and the impact of medical coding processes and information systems on effective patient care.
