3 Credit(s) This course focuses on the role of the licensed practical/vocational nurse as a member of the profession, provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, and member of the healthcare team. Legal/ethical responsibilities, preparation for employment, nursing organizations, continuing education, professional development, and lifelong learning are emphasized.
