POLS102 — American National Government and Politics
3 Credit(s) This course is a study of the development and performance of the American political system. It is concerned with the policy-making process, the distribution of political power, the system of checks and balances and major political institutions. Particular attention is devoted to the subjects of civil liberties, civil rights, congressionalpresidential relations and the role of the Supreme Court.
