Physiologic topics include mechanics of breathing, pulmonary defense mechanisms, gas diffusion, gas transport, cardiac anatomy, the cardiac electro-conductive system, circulatory system, fluid and electrolyte balance, aid-base regulation, and interaction of the pulmonary, cardiac and renal systems.
