CIS 228 — Computer Forensics

/3 contact hours This course will provide an introduction to computer forensics. The student will be exposed to different tools and techniques of obtaining data along with an understanding of the investigative process. Class discussions and hands–on activities will give students a thorough understanding of crime scene processing, data acquisition, computer forensic analysis, e–mail investigations, image and file recovery, witness requirements and report writing. Prerequisite(s): CIS 178 or CIS 220 Core fulfilled: None course descriptions
