CIS 295 — Information Technology Internship
/3 contact hours This course provides the student an opportunity to apply theory and classroom skills into the practices of a work environment in computer technology. The course is designed to promote professional development by providing challenging and valuable work experience and prepare students for future careers in the field. In addition to field work, students will also be required to submit written assignments on a regular basis. Students are expected to spend a minimum of 135 hours working at the internship site and complete written assignments related to the experience. Prerequisite(s): CIS 230, NET 110, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, with at least 30 credits earned in the Information Technology program and permission of the Department Chair. Core fulfilled: None
