EDU 290 — Education Internship
/3 contact hours This internship provides the student an opportunity to integrate classroom theory and knowledge with real–world experience in the field of education. The course is designed to promote professional development by providing valuable work experience and prepare students for future careers in the education field. Students are responsible for making arrangements to establish their internship position with help from the faculty supervisor, spend a minimum of 135 hours working course descriptions in the field, and complete written assignments related to the experience. Students will receive a letter grade (A–F) for this class. Prerequisite(s): EDU 101, and a G.P .A. of 3.0 in program courses, with at least 30 credits earned in the program of study, and permission of the Department Chair or designee. Core fulfilled: None
