NUR 101 — Fundamentals of Nursing

/8 contact hours This course introduces students to the role of the registered nurse. Nursing concepts fundamental to that of professional nursing are presented, including the nursing process, assessment, communication, professional behaviors, and holism. Students will develop therapeutic communication skills and a beginning understanding of culturally-responsive, safe, high-quality, evidenced-based practice within the role of the professional nurse.
