PMT 126 — CAM Programming for 2-axis Lathe
/1 contact hours This course will introduce the student to the practice of using a Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) system to program 2-axis Computer Numeric Control (CNC) lathes. Students will gain competency in setting up machine parameters, tool turrets, and lathe chucks within the CAM system. Student will learn how to output G&M code through a post-processor to machine parts on a 2-axis CNC lathe, and will demonstrate mastery of the subject matter by completing a series of in-shop projects.
